CARAVAN SALON 2016: Special Show: “Starter World – Discover Camping & Caravanning”

CARAVAN SALON will be held from 27 August to 4 September 2016 (with 26 August reserved for trade visitors), and visitors can look forward to a variety of programmes and special features again. After last year’s success the organisers decided to re-run the special show “Starter World – Discover Camping & Caravanning”. An additional hall is being set up in the outdoor space next to Hall 16, where professionals will share vital expertise in all matters of practical caravanning.

All visitors will be welcome to gather plenty of information on the use of motor homes, caravans and trailers as well as on technical functions. “Last year we were very pleased about the high level of interest among visitors in the Starter World. There was a considerable demand for comprehensive advice, particularly among newcomers to caravanning. We have now expanded the range even further for this year’s CARAVAN SALON and have tailored it specially to the needs of our visitors,” says Project Manager Stefan Koschke.

Neutral, independent advice

“Starter World – Discover Camping & Caravanning” is a vendor-neutral point of contact with plenty of information on the subject of caravanning. Visitors can consult with professionals who will advise which vehicle is ideal for their needs. Graphic presentations will be given directly on each vehicle type, illustrating its functions and how to handle the equipment. A wide spectrum of subjects will be covered, providing useful information for newcomers and experienced caravanners alike, with interesting facts and figures on this mobile leisure pursuit.

Expert advice will be available on the correct handling of on-board equipment as well as practical tips and recommendations about travel routes and how to choose campsites. The professionals who are on site will be happy to answer specific questions and provide one-to-one consultancy. Beginners, in particular, need a fair amount of advice on accessories. This, too, is an area where professional help is at hand, ranging from the correct handling of on-board electronics to awnings.

The Starter World will include a Forum where industry professionals will give talks on a wide range of mobile leisure subjects. The culinary highlight will be the presentation of a chef cooking some great food on a typical three-burner gas hob.
